We constantly seek to innovate and improve, with the aim of offering top-quality meat products to our customers and contributing to the sustainable development of the agricultural sector in Panama.
Commitment to Quality
At HDR, our actions and decisions are guided by robust principles that underpin our business philosophy. These principles reflect our unwavering dedication to excellence, sustainability, and innovation.
Genetic Selection
At HDR, we invest in the genetic improvement of our livestock, seeking animals with superior characteristics in terms of fertility, performance, and meat quality. We work with imported high-quality semen and also have a discard process in which we carefully evaluate animals that do not meet our health, performance, or genetic standards. This approach ensures that only the best specimens are part of our production, ensuring the quality and excellence of our final products.
Animal Care and Welfare
The welfare of our animals is our priority. From birth to commercialization, we provide a safe, comfortable, and healthy environment for the cattle. We ensure compliance with the highest standards in terms of nutrition, housing, management, and veterinary care.
Balanced Nutrition
Our animals receive a balanced and nutritious diet designed to meet their specific needs at each stage of their development. We have improved pastures and high-quality feed supplements, ensuring healthy growth and excellent productive performance.
Health Control
We implement strict health control protocols to prevent diseases and maintain the health of the livestock. We carry out regular deworming, vaccinations, and constant monitoring of the health of our animals, in collaboration with highly trained veterinary professionals.
Our Cattle Farms
At HDR, we have several farms dedicated exclusively to livestock farming. From breeding and rearing to the finishing phase, each farm is designed to maximize production efficiency and ensure the well-being of our cattle. Below, we present a summary of our main cattle farms:

They have a light-colored coat, muscular build, and moderate hump, making them well-suited for beef production in diverse environments.

Brangus
Brangus cattle are a crossbreed between Brahman and Angus cattle, known for their adaptability to various climates and resistance to diseases and parasites. They have a sleek black coat, polled or horned heads, and well-defined musculature, making them ideal for beef production.

Camchin
The Canchim breed is a cross between Charolais and Zebu cattle, combining the meat quality of Charolais with the adaptability and heat tolerance of Zebu breeds. They have a sturdy build, short coat, and characteristic hump, making them suitable for beef production in tropical climates.

Charolais
The Charolais is an native cattle breed from France, specifically from the Charolais region. These cattle are known for their large size, muscular build, and white coat color.
